Summer Class Registration taking place now!

Summer class registration for our Cinderella Camp (ages 3-9), our ballet camp, and our hip hop camp is taking place now.  E-mail us for a schedule at inlandnwballet@aol.com or call 467-0765 to have one sent to you.  For those little ones that are adoring Miss Kaiti Bri as our Diamond Soloist, she will be teaching the Cinderella Camp!
Cinderella Dance camp involves lots of dancing, some Cinderella crafts (decorate your own glass slipper!), snacks, watching a bit of the Cinderella Ballet video, and lots more!  Cinderella Camp, ballet up to level 3, and hip hop camp all take place in July.
Summer camps for levels 4 and above take place late July and early August with guest instructors.
We love our summertime fun!  :)

Fall registration day this weekend!

Pre-registration concluded last Saturday, May 26, and fall registration for current students begins this Saturday, June 2 at noon.  If you are pre-registered (for those staying in the same class) you don't need to stand in line registration day...yippie!  If you really desire a particular class, especially Ballet 1, 2, or 3, you will definitely want to attend on Saturday. If you are attending on Saturday, while the line can be long before we open (some families line up as early as 5:30 am, with a chair, a good book, and some snacks), it goes very quickly once we open.  The Rocket bakery is also open next door for coffee and goodies, you can usually team up with others in line to hold your spot while you make a coffee run..:)
We are holding a drawing on Facebook for a guaranteed "don't have to stand in line registration pass", so click our Facebook link and put your name in!  If you don't have Facebook, you can send us an e-mail by Wed. at 1 pm to inlandnwballet@aol.com, and we will place your name in the drawing for you!  :)
Registration for available openings will begin for new students, or those unable to attend on registration day, on Monday, June 4, and summer registrations are being accepted at the current time!

It's that time of year again! Performance packets have been sent home so that our dance families may begin to make preparations for our June performances. Costume order forms are enclosed, and are due before December 15th, or your costume fee will be a full 25.00 higher. Yikes! Don't let this happen...order on time...:)

Also, dates and times of your performance are enclosed as well. This way, no one should be wondering when and where to be come springtime! Save this packet until the end of June for a no stress performance seaso

We are so excited to meet our new dancers, and are looking forward to New Student Orientation, scheduled for Thurs., September 3rd at 7:00 pm at our Spokane Studio. This is a great time for our younger (ages 11 and below) students to meet the instructors, become familiar with the studio, and learn how our dance year unfolds. We can't wait to see you! :)

Performance season is upon us! We had our first two Inland Northwest Ballet Performances last weekend, with our Spokane students dancing to very full audiences in both the matinee and the evening shows. What wonderful support we enjoyed! We presented "A Celebration of Mozart", and other dances, and were fortunate to have make up artist May Hafkamp and her assistant Randi Hafkamp on hand to do make up for all our upper level girls. More photos and info on our make up session after next weekend!

We have another full weekend ahead of us, and we promise photos of the upper level girls!

New class to be added in January!

Because our current Creative Dance I classes are all full, and we still have many Spokane children wanting lessons, we will add a new Creative Dance I class beginning in January...The tap and ballet class will begin on Friday, Jan. 16th at 3:00 pm for new dancers age 3-5. Tuition is $80 for the eight week session. The class will be taught by Miss Kaiti, and will include two young leaders (little ones with two+ years dance training, that help lead the class by example).
To enroll, you must turn in your registration form and your tuition (non-refundable) before the class fills. Once the class is full, no more students will be enrolled (please do not show up the first day unregistered, as the class will be full, and we really dislike disappointing a little dancer).
You can get this form via e-mail (click the link on the right) or at the studio when we re-open on Monday, Jan. 5. Once your spot is confirmed, you will receive information regarding the dress code for this class. For more information on our classes, click the link on the right that will take you to our main web site!
For more info, e-mail us at inlandnwballet@aol.com...We will be happy to answer!
We also may add a class Tues. mornings at 11:00 AM, please e-mail Studio Director Janine Fraser if interested!

Fall classes begin Tuesday...

Dance Orientation Night!

Our Inland Northwest Ballet Orientation for new dancers will be held this Thurs. at 7:00 pm at our Spokane studio. If you have a young dancer, this will be a great time for your child to meet Miss Janine and Miss Kaiti, who teach our Creative Dance classes. The children will also be introduced to our student teachers, and our office staff, Susie and Cheryl. It is also a terrific chance to familiarize your child with the studio and it's surroundings, making the first day run very smoothly. We will serve refreshments, take a few moments to go over our annual schedule, and also take time to answer any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you there! If you are unable to attend, and have questions for our staff, pleaae e-mail school director Janine Fraser at inlandnwballet@aol.com. :)

Fun at Inland Northwest Ballet Dance Camp...

This summer at Sleeping Beauty Dance Camp, We learned how to warm up our muscles correctly, and how to perform beautiful port de bras! We also learned to perform demi plies, releves, battement tendues, retires, arabesque, pas de bourree, as well as many other ballet exercises!
Of course, we got to do our favorite...Imagination Dance!

We got to decorate beautiful Lilac Fairy Crowns, and wands, and
create foam pictures of the Sleeping Beauty Story!

We sat patiently and listened to Miss Janine or Miss Kaiti read the Sleeping Beauty Story...

We got to put on fairy tale make up...oh we love sparkles!

Shannon and Maddie helped us put on pretty purple tutus! After our class was over, the big girls got to come in and dance too!

We can't wait for Swan Lake Dance Camp next year! :)
