Summer class registration for our Cinderella Camp (ages 3-9), our ballet camp, and our hip hop camp is taking place now.  E-mail us for a schedule at inlandnwballet@aol.com or call 467-0765 to have one sent to you.  For those little ones that are adoring Miss Kaiti Bri as our Diamond Soloist, she will be teaching the Cinderella Camp!
Cinderella Dance camp involves lots of dancing, some Cinderella crafts (decorate your own glass slipper!), snacks, watching a bit of the Cinderella Ballet video, and lots more!  Cinderella Camp, ballet up to level 3, and hip hop camp all take place in July.
Summer camps for levels 4 and above take place late July and early August with guest instructors.
We love our summertime fun!  :)

It's costume time again...

It's that time of year when our costume orders have all been sent in,
and we anxiously await their arrival in the spring... Here are a few photos of the beautiful costumes our dancers will wear this year in our Spokane performances. Above is the beautiful platter tutu that will be worn by our level 7 pointe students. All of our ballet costumes this year are designed in shimmery coral-peach shades, with accents of soft ivory or very pale yellow...
Above: This dress will be worn in coral by our level 6/7 dancers.

Above: This pretty costume will be worn by our Ballet I students...They can't wait!

Above: The coral shade has been selected for our level 2s and 3s!

Above: The back of our level I costume...so pretty! The tutu is made of a fine ivory tulle with a very delicate "lettuce edge" which makes for a pretty finish to the tulle.

As far as our jazz, tap, and hip hop costumes go, they are always cute, but age appropriate, as well as flattering, and our choices follow these rules...

No bare bellies, "no way too low cut" tops, no ripped pants, no bustiers, no pleather, no Las Vegas showgirl style costumes, no short shorts that could double as "undies"...in a nutshell, no making a 9 year old look like she is 21! As you can see from the photos, jazz or hip hop costumes can be appropriate and still totally cool!

Above: Miss Janine's favorite...a turquoise and chocolate camo number that
will be worn by both Miss Kaiti's and Miss Laura's pre-teen and teen classes...so funky!
Above: Both Miss Janine and Miss Kaiti have selected the above costume (with the long pants on the right) for their tap classes...so cute!
Above: One of Miss Kaiti's tap classes will wear the above number in turquoise and black!

Miss Janine's Tuesday hip hoppers will dance in this pink and black camo number
(with cargo pants on the right)...so fun!

We can't wait to see our dancers when they try on these cute costumes next spring!

Hip Hop Dance Party!

Who: Our Inland Northwest Ballet dancers!
What: A Hip Hop Dance Party…which is really our regular class, but with a fun twist! Dancers may wear cargo pants, baseball caps, or any fun but danceable funky clothing!
When: Friday, October 17th
Where: We will meet at the studio at our regular classtime, then walk around the corner to Jezreel Fitness, a new state of the art fitness facility, run by a former dance mom, located right in Fairwood Center in north Spokane, less than a two minutes walk away.
Why: Fun fun fun!

Jezreel Fitness has a large dance space with a state of the art lighting and sound system, and a small stage. The space is large enough for parents to come in, sit down, and watch class. Please understand that while siblings are welcome, they will not be allowed to run around, they must sit with the parents at all times. You can also check out the yoga studio or the spin room, or visit in the lobby. If you have questions, please see Studio Director Janine Fraser.
