Congratulations to Julie Sugano!

Congratulations to Julie, who has been awarded the honor of Valedictorian of Mead High School. She has worked very hard to achieve this title, and Miss Janine, our staff, and fellow dancers at Inland Northwest Ballet are very proud of her! We will miss her and her antics :), as she leaves Spokane this fall to attend the University of the Pacific in northern California. Her parents are Doug and Linda Sugano, and we are sure that they are very proud!

Upcomings rehearsals!

Cinderella Rehearsal – In studio

Sat., May 31…

This is a full cast rehearsal (except for the mice, who are still a little young)

Check your paperwork for your performance date, and you will know when you are dancing!

12:00 – 12:55 Cast A - for our first performance, the matinee of June 14th

1:00 – 1:55 Cast B - for our second performance, the evening of June 14th

2:00 – 2:55 Cast C - for our third performance, the matinee of June 21st

3:00 – 4:00 Cast D - for our fourth performance, evening of June 21st

Please note: This is a fun rehearsal, and although not required (we know Saturdays are busy, so only soloists are required to attend) it is a wonderful time for the little ones to watch “the big girls” dancing close up, and see how rehearsal creates a beautiful performance. They learn a little more about how a story ballet is put together, about entrances and exits, and the importance of staying with their own group. Please bring your child dressed in normal dance attire with hair up, and please note, that at rehearsals, any color leotard is acceptable. Please remind your child to stretch and warm up (plies, tendues, releves) on their own, as this is not done during rehearsal.

Important note: Please bring your dancebags into the studio, as in order to make studio traffic easier, we will have students enter through the usual door, but exit out the “staff only” door, once a parent is seen outside. To make it easier for parents retrieving children, all traffic will be “one way”, so please don’t leave anything out in the observation area, as you won’t be able to exit that way.

Qustions? Please see Miss Janine!
