Remember, Spring Break is coming up...We do not have class during the week of March 31st through April 7. Miss Janine and the our staff says "Get outside and enjoy the sunshine!" :)
Rehearsal will be held on Sat. March 15, and March 22 from 1:00 - 2:30 for the following soloists...

Stepsisters
Stepmother
Fairy Godmother
Level IIIB...optional! :)

There will be no rehearsal held on Sat. March 9th, or Sat., April 5th.

Fairies should know all, or almost all of your solos by now*, so no rehearsal will be held this month. Keep rehearsing on your own, so that you will be polished next month, when we all rehearse together with the Hours!

* Except Winter, we will wait for you to heal to finish your choreography! :)

Cute things our dancers have said...

Note: Some names have been changed to protect the parents :)

We look like a “Nake”!... Katelynn, describing the girl’s crooked line, when not yet able to pronounce her “s”.

Madeline, in wondering why her little friend did not stand up when the instructor asked, said “Whats the matter, Kaelynn, is your tush glued to the floor? She didn’t really say “tush”, but you get the idea.
“I’m alredy “abracked”... Madeline, when Miss Janine asked if the girls can “abracadabra” their feet into 1st position.

We need some “flirt scuffers”... “Princess Jim”, wanting some dancers to help fluff tutus. What’s a flirt scuffer?

“I understand that cows get pink eye too”... Laina, making an absolutely out of the blue comment made during imagination dance.

“They’re not togethering”... Elizabeth, when asked what is wrong with the instructor’s feet (as she stood with them slightly apart).

“It was siscusting!” ...Stephanie, after first seeing men dancing in tights, while attending the Nutcracker Ballet.

“My dad has a belly like that!” ... Anonymous :), when shown a Santa Claus belly and asked if that looks pretty.

“Linda?”... Kaitlin, when asked the name of the white swan in Swan Lake…um, close, the correct answer is Odette.

“Bloom like a flower to “yo fifth”…Anastasia, when leading the class in blooming to “low 5th". Maybe hip hop is her true calling?

When asked what she had just done (after having performed a pas de bourree”), Bethany said “I pas de bourated”. Hmmm…is that really correct French?

Sometimes the girls will perform an arabesque with their heads down, (rather as if smelling there armpits). When Miss Janine joked with little Madelynn, asking “How do your armpits smell, Maddy?” She replied “Like sugar!”.

On another occasion, little Maddy announced to the class that her parents were going on vacation to Costa Rica and leaving the kids in a kennel (Um…she was confused).
